The Duchess (12)
Starring Keira Knightley and Ralph Fiennes and partly filmed at Chatsworth House –tells the remarkable and sad story of the 17th Duchess of Devonshire, Georgiana Cavendish, an ancestor of Princess Diana, who was celebrated and reviled for her extravigant political and personal life.
From her passionate and doomed affair with Earl Grey to the complex menage a trois with her husband and her best friend, Lady Bess Foster - the film is a very contemporary tale of fame, notoriety and the search for love.

Armageddon (12)
Bruce Willis at his very best - a wonderful action film that will come to life on the hall's big screen and surround sound.

An epic story of love, pride, honour and ultimate sacrifice, to save the world for the future of mankind.....teriffic stuff !!

June - 26th
The Hurt Locker (Blu-Ray definition - 1st for the Village Hall)
The 6 Oscar-winning film is a super-sharp, nerve-shredding thriller that reveals more about the realities of contemporary military conflict than most documentaries. It's as fissile and explosive as a Transformers movie, and delivers a powerful and often haunting critique of American society both at home and as its faultlines are expressed abroad.
Once seen it's never forgotton.
July - 31st - Sherlock Holmes (2010)

On the day of his execution, Blackwood requests for Holmes and he warns him about other deaths that will eventually change the world. Blackwood is executed and pronounced by Watson himself as dead. Great Stuff!! Don't miss it.
August - No film for August due to many families being on holiday.
September 25th - It's Complicated (2009) (15)
Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin, Steve Martin
Meryl Streep's latest fabulous film. A wry and sophisticated adult comedy based around a middle-aged divorced couple having an affair. Streep is on her usual teriffic form in the lead role and Baldwin confirms his justified reputation as one of the great character actors of the modern cinema. Steve Martin also appears.
This film will be loved not just by her legion of fans and chick-flic devotees but a much wider, though probably slightly-older, audience at large!
